UFMCC Statement of Privacy and General Data Protection Regulation Compliance

posted in: MCC News | 0

Beginning 25 May 2018, Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC) will implement a Statement of Privacy for all new users and users previously consenting to receive emails from MCC.

The actions we are taking will allow MCC to be compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA) countries by the 25 May 2018 deadline. Additionally, MCC Communications will adopt the same high standard to protect the privacy of all MCC users, regardless of their country of residence.

It is a privilege to send MCC news to you through your email address. We believe your choice to share your email with us indicates that we have earned your trust. We are taking action now to increase transparency about data collection, create greater ease to update your profile, and invite you clarify which MCC newsletters you would like to receive.

You will receive a separate email this week to allow you to indicate your interest to remain on MCC’s email list. After agreeing to continue to receive MCC’s emails, you will then have the opportunity to update your profile, indicate your preferred email address, and if you choose, verify the MCC newsletters you would like to receive.

The links below include UFMCC’s Statement of Privacy and an overview about GDPR.
