Now, more than ever, we know that there are still people around the world who need to hear the good news of God’s love for them – no matter who they are or whom they love. Metropolitan Community Churches proclaim that we have an “unfinished calling” and we are ready to faithfully live out that calling in the future.
From our Vision Statement: “Following the example of Jesus and empowered by the Spirit, we seek to build leading-edge church communities that demand, proclaim, and do justice in the world.”
Give because MCC made and is making a difference in the world.
Give because you want MCC to make a difference in the future.
While the Still Giving Campaign officially ends, donations will still be welcomed and pledges may be honored throughout the balance of 2020.
Final figures will be announced as part of a Governing Board financial report
MCC Around the World
MCC’s ministry has a growing global presence through 148 Affiliated Churches, 11 Aligned Organizations, 52 Emerging Churches or Ministries, and 6 Oasis Communities in 28 countries worldwide.
Rev. Wanda Floyd, Emerging Church and MCC Communities Co-ordinator, shares some developing news: “As we continue to work with individuals and groups around the world, we are becoming more creative with connections. Through our Oasis Facebook page, we have learned the top three languages represented, outside of English, are Italian, Spanish and Portuguese. Later this year, we will be launching three virtual gathering spaces in these three languages. The spaces will be geared toward folks who do not have access to a local MCC or do not feel safe being in spaces that are queer identified. The gatherings will be a place of sanctuary for people to share and build relationships and connections. Stay tuned for more information to come.”
What’s next? What new ministries will emerge from this time of global pandemic? Where will MCC establish a new presence?
