Interim Moderator Listening Tour Continues

Rev. Elder Rachelle Brown, MCC Interim Moderator, said she has made a commitment to the Listening Tour in order to meet MCC people in person, and if necessary, through a series of webinars.
“I will be present at many of the 2017 Network Gatherings, along with another member of the Council of Elders, and when possible, Governing Board members. During these Network Gatherings, I will share the vision for the interim time, ask questions, and listen to the people of MCC,” Rev. Brown said.

The All Florida Network Gathering hosted the Listening Tour on 9-11 March at MCC Tampa in Florida, USA.

“The honesty, passion, and authenticity of the people and clergy was felt as they described MCC as ‘acceptance’ and that we are here to ‘teach the world what love is.’ We named challenges openly and with respect,” Rev. Brown said.

Join the Movement to Honor Earth Day

by Rev. Aaron Miller and Rev. Rich Hendricks

Climate Change has already had a devastating impact on communities around the world, with dire effects on nature and creation and to our siblings and neighbors. It is time to be good stewards for that which God has entrusted to our care.

Earth Day is 22 April and the Peoples Climate March is on 29 April in Washington, DC, USA.

MCC’s Earth Day 2017 handbook is available and offers a wide variety of options for participation. Let us know if your church, ministry, or Oasis group plans to participate. Email Linda Brenner ([email protected]rch.net) to add your name to the list. Download the book here: https://mccchurch.org/earth-day/
