Governing Board Nominating Committee Announcement – Introduction – Application

Rev. Stuart Sutherland

Jo-Anne Ludy

Janet Fitzsimmons

Greetings from the 2021–2022 MCC Governing Board Nominating Committee (GBNC)!

It is our pleasure to serve our denomination and you. We are charged with the responsibility of soliciting, interviewing, and recommending candidates to sit for election to the Governing Board at the 2022 General Conference.

There will be two (2) clergy and two (2) lay candidates, each elected for six (6) year terms at General Conference 2022.

Our success will depend on you and we need your help to provide the best possible slate for the next General Conference in 2022.

We are searching for applications globally to provide the Governing Board and the General Conference with the best possible candidates from countries all over the world. If English is your second language, that is not a barrier from you applying to become a candidate. We encourage people regardless of age and inclusive of diversity to make our Governing Board truly global.

The next members of the Governing Board are people that you know, they may be your Pastor, your Lay Delegate or anyone that believes that they have special skills to become a Governing Board Member. These people are in your churches, ministries, connections, and affiliations. When the nomination period opens, we invite you to nominate qualified individuals for consideration.

We have established an email address to receive feedback and questions regarding our work. That email address is [email protected]. Pray for us as we commence on our task to find the next candidates for the Governing Board.

Finally, we ask that you join us in continued prayer for our denomination as we search for the next Governing Board Candidates.

In Christ’s Service,

Governing Board Nominating Committee
