USA CHURCHES – Let Your Experience Be Counted

Exploring the Pandemic Impact on Congregations: Innovation Amidst and Beyond COVID-19.
Complete this 2nd Survey using this link specifically for MCC.

This survey is part of an ongoing project tracking congregational health over the coming years. The study is being conducted in partnership with over a dozen denominational partners, the Faith Communities Today research team, and Hartford Institute for Religion Research. This collaboration aims to provide clergy with helpful information about the changing nature of congregational life in the U.S. and ways to respond effectively. The study hopes to identify and document the creativity and resilience of congregations and leaders in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This survey can be completed by your pastor, a staff member, church administrator, or well-informed lay leader. Responses about your individual congregation are confidential. It should take no more than 15 minutes to complete!

More Resources

“Chapter, Verse, and Season: A Lectionary Podcast from Yale Bible Study”

launches on November 22, 2021.
Chapter, Verse, and Season gives listeners the opportunity to overhear the kinds of conversations that take place in the halls of Yale Divinity School. Each week, professors from different disciplines chat about biblical texts from the Revised Common Lectionary. They bring their own interests to the table and hopefully spark new insights into the scripture appointed for the coming Sunday. The Center for Continuing Education is excited to provide this new avenue for communities, clergy, and laypeople to access the Yale Divinity School faculty’s wide-ranging expertise, 10 to 15 minutes at a time. New episodes come out every Monday, beginning November 22.

Learn Greek or Hebrew

If you’ve ever been interested in learning to read the Bible in Greek or Hebrew, or want to learn Classical Greek or Latin, Dr. Jordan Dyck is an experienced biblical language teacher, looking to fund his time pursuing ordination in MCC through his teaching. He has been teaching New Testament Greek since 2007, and would love to teach more people, one-to-one or in groups for a lower rate, in any of the above languages. Check out his website below to find out more and contact him, or join the Facebook group to keep in touch.
