What does it mean to be a member of a church? What is required to become a member? What is expected of members and what can members expect from the church? COVID, the rise of online worship, and virtual programming has birthed new questions and opportunities. Are you wondering how to find, engage, and bless your members in this new and ever-changing era? Come join this webinar designed to encourage and equip churches to begin or to dive deeper into conversations about “engaging membership.” This is hosted by MCC staff with MCC leaders as guest panelists.

Writing Your Spiritual Autobiography
Saturdays, 3:00-5:00pm EST / 8-10pm GMT
February 26th, March 26th, April 23rd, May 28th, and June 25th
Spiritual Autobiographies are for all of us! Join Rev. Dr. Kerr Mesner for a monthly class where we will explore the art, craft, and mystery of writing the deeper stories of our lives. Whether you are an experienced writer or this is brand new to you, this class is designed to meet you where you are. This is not a class on grammar, editing, and “getting it right”! Instead, this class focuses on the spiritual craft of writing… how, within sacred space, we can access and give words to the mystery of our own lives. Designed for experienced writers, those who are brand new, and everyone in between.
Engage in writing practices in community to spark your imagination, help you access your own story, and find ways to give that story expression.
Explore your writing in a sacred space shaped by contemplative practices, gentleness, playfulness, and humor.
Build community with other writers engaging in this work.
Give and receive supportive encouraging feedback with other writers.
Engage with readings to feed your writer’s spirit and inspire you in your work.
Receive weekly encouragements and writing prompts to help you keep up momentum in your writing between class meetings.
Celebrate your writing, with an optional opportunity to share some of it in our final class “open mic” celebration.
For sliding scale fees and to register, please click on the link below.

RISE: Women of Color Leadership Institute for Pastoral Excellence – March 11-12, 2022
This Virtual Experience is committed to creating spaces where the needs, issues, hopes, dreams, and visions of women of color ministry leaders are at the center of individual and collective discourse on pastoral, prophetic, academic, and community leadership and praxis.
This national gathering includes workshops, worship, skill-building, and networking. This is an opportunity for women of color ministry leaders to come together as sisters and colleagues in ministry, unapologetically tell their truths, and breathe. This event also features graduation for the current mentors and mentees and an induction ceremony for the incoming RISE Together cohort.
As the Covid-19 Pandemic continues, and the world is reshaping itself over and over, we want to hear your honest opinions about how you hope to attend Global General Conference 2022.
We were hoping to launch registration this week, but find ourselves at a fork in the road, wondering if we should shift to an all-online Conference or do our best to continue with the plan of having a global multi-site conference, which will also include an online option.
MCC is an amazing, creative movement, so we trust that even if we go to an all online conference, local congregations, friends, and networks will still meet in a way that can be more adaptive and flexible as the time comes closer.
