International Transgender Day of Visibility – March 31st

What does Trans Visibility look like in your region? How does visibility put Trans people at greater risk or increase understanding and support? What is the political reality in your area for Trans people? Are there laws in place or being proposed to restrict rights and safety? What is your church doing to educate people about the experiences of Trans people and the current social realities?

WHAT IS THE FUTURE OF SPIRITUALITY?

25 voices | 5 days | April 4-8, 2022
COURAGEOUS FAITH SUMMIT

How is our understanding of faith being reshaped, perhaps accelerated, by the pandemic? Do faith communities have a future and what kind of courage will that require? What kind of rituals will shape the future of spirituality? What are the big theological questions of our time? How do younger generations seek spirituality? Is there a future of courageous spirituality? If so, what does that look like?
In partnership with Homebrewed Christianity, we will be speaking directly to faith leaders around the world who are leaning into this question with deep thinking and creative innovations. These are BIG questions, but it’s time to rethink everything. Join us for this five-day summit and explore your own imagination as we create the future of spirituality together.

This event if FREE to attend as a LIVE EVENT. There is a fee for lifetime access.

Rev. Kerr Mesner

Writing Your Spiritual Autobiography

Saturdays, 3:00-5:00pm EST / 8-10pm GMT
February 26th, March 26th, April 23rd, May 28th, and June 25th
Spiritual Autobiographies are for all of us! Join Rev. Dr. Kerr Mesner for a monthly class where we will explore the art, craft, and mystery of writing the deeper stories of our lives. Whether you are an experienced writer or this is brand new to you, this class is designed to meet you where you are. This is not a class on grammar, editing, and “getting it right”! Instead, this class focuses on the spiritual craft of writing… how, within sacred space, we can access and give words to the mystery of our own lives. Designed for experienced writers, those who are brand new, and everyone in between.
  •  Engage in writing practices in community to spark your imagination, help you access your own story, and find ways to give that story expression.
  • Explore your writing in a sacred space shaped by contemplative practices, gentleness, playfulness, and humor.
  • Build community with other writers engaging in this work.
  • Give and receive supportive encouraging feedback with other writers.
  • Engage with readings to feed your writer’s spirit and inspire you in your work.
  • Receive weekly encouragements and writing prompts to help you keep up momentum in your writing between class meetings.
  • Celebrate your writing, with an optional opportunity to share some of it in our final class “open mic” celebration.
For sliding scale fees and to register, please click on the link below.

Kerr Mesner is a spiritual director, consultant, and facilitator, as well as a queer/transgender contemplative Christian, performing artist, and activist. He is trained with the Pacific Jubilee Program in Spiritual Direction, and is an ordained minister with Metropolitan Community Churches. In his spare time, he enjoys writing songs and playing in his garden.
