Let’s Dream Together

Help us dream of what General Conference can be by signing up for a focus-group style Dream Session.

You are invited to participate in our first opportunity for feedback as we begin wrestling with the purpose of General Conference. The General Conference Commission will be relying on gathering ideas, comments, and thoughts from our global community!

In each Dream Session, we will meet in small breakout groups to discuss the purpose, meaning, and big questions we need to ask when it comes to gathering.

Council of Elders Facebook Group

Elder Nancy Maxwell will explore the spiritual practice of working with a spiritual director, as well as take prayer requests to the Council of Elders. Spiritual direction can be traced to the 1500s, when it was developed by St. Ignatius of Loyola, the lay leader who founded the Jesuits. Spiritual direction involves meeting with a spiritual director, who has been trained to notice the work of the Holy in one’s life—in other words, spiritual directors “direct” their attention, noticing the possible stirrings of the Spirit at work.

SUNDAY, November 15

MCC’s around the world are streaming LIVE on Facebook and YouTube as well as on ZOOM and other platforms. Once you have attended your virtual or in-person gathering, check out an MCC in another part of the world. You can search on Facebook or YouTube for MCC or ICM or spell out the name fully.
