The Disciple’s Role in Social Activism
The objective of this series is to explore and discuss the role of Christians in the fight against systemic racism and poverty. The four-week study will explore four broad categories of oppression against people of color and people who are poor. Both the Hebrew Bible and the Christian scriptures have prominent themes woven throughout that explicitly testify to God’s justice for the oppressed, the poor and foreigner.
The classes will be facilitated by Lisa Noriega, Lisa Engle and other MCC of the Lehigh Valley (USA) Action Team Members. All are welcome.

NOTEWORTHY
Pastor Appreciation Month
Many places observe October as Pastor Appreciation Month. During COVID-19, our Pastors have worked extra hard to keep us safe, cared for and connected. Many Pastors have worked long hours alongside volunteers (and some alone) learning to adapt worship to a virtual environment. This is an opportunity to express your gratitude and say thanks. Send your Pastor a card or a gift. There are many ways to show a little love and appreciation to your Pastor(s). Think about how your church and how YOU might honor your Pastor(s) this October.
