     MCCT seeks an Executive Director.  Since 1978, MCCT has been actively at the forefront of driving Human Rights legislation surrounding GLBT issues. Landmark rulings around equal rights and marriage for gays and lesbians have been advanced greatly by MCCT and Reverend Dr. Brent Hawkes. MCCT is poised for its next level of success! To achieve MCC Toronto’s vision to ‘Be a Bridge’, the Board of Directors and Senior Pastor have embarked on the development of a new organization structure to support its long term growth. The creation of the Executive Director role is a key ingredient in this process.  Role:  Working with the Senior Pastor, the Board of Directors, through 12 staff and over 200 volunteers, the Executive Director will be broadly responsible for the day to day operations of the church including worship, integration and education programs. Specifically the successful candidate will be responsible for: 1) Strategic Leadership, 2) Team Leadership, 3) Financial and Operational Management, 4) Marketing and Communications, and 5) Program Development. 
     In keeping with the senior nature and responsibility of this new and exciting role, a seasoned professional is sought who is a strong originator, communicator and implementer of ideas. This individual will possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the capacity to work with a broad range of stakeholders. Building effective relationships and networking with congregants, donors, business, government, other agencies and the LGBT community is essential.  Candidates should demonstrate in their application the following credentials:  Bachelors degree in business or finance or the demonstration of equivalent skills and abilities, plus relevant professional development in leadership and management, 10+ years progressively more responsible professional experience, 5 years senior management level with well developed leadership skills in a team environment, Demonstrated successful track record in initiating, developing and leading services and programs; including fundraising, financial and budgetary management, marketing, technology and public relations, Significant experience with not-for-profit organizations, including direct involvement with boards, fundraisers, volunteers and various communities of interest, Experience in a faith based organization is ideal.

We, at MCC of the Palm Beaches, are seeking to fill the dual role of Music Minister and Office Administrator effective Jan. 01. 2009. The combined position is 30 hours - 10 hours for the Music Minister and 20 hours for the Admin position. Remuneration includes a small stipend plus use of a two bedroom house on the church campus. As the roles have developed there is overlap between the positions.  We have a weekly Sunday morning service (blended worship) and a monthly Sunday evening service (contemporary). Special music is offered at all services for which we have quality soloists, small ensembles and instrumentalists. The Music Minister is lead accompanist (Technics SXPR700 keyboard or full size Hammond organ) and worship leader.  The Admin position includes worship planning (with the pastor), producing bulletins, data entry of attendee records, maintaining the church website, overseeing office equipment and supplies, and the day to day operation of our food pantry.  We're inviting interested candidates to come as guest musician for a weekend during the summer months and plan on selecting a candidate in October.  Persons interested in the position should contact Rev.
