The
Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches, in affirming the
priesthood of all believers, calls us all to the task of proclaiming the mighty
acts of God who has called us to freedom.
All members of the church are called as ministers of Christ in the
church and in the world.
Article IV of the UFMCC Bylaws defines the ministry and
responsibilities of the Clergy as:

CLERGY:
Clergy are members of the People of God, called by God, authorized and legally
recognized by the UFMCC to serve among the people as professional ministers of
the Word and Sacraments.
