by Rev. Elder Arlene Ackerman to propose
an amendment to Bylaws Article V.D.2.a to read:
For the purpose of transition to the three-year General Conference
cycle, the term of office of the Moderator elected in 2005 shall expire in 2010.

MOTION 07.01.17.BOE.02 Motion by Rev. Elder Darlene Garner,
Seconded by Rev. Elder Don Eastman Action to invoke the Flexibility Clause so
that the Elder elected by Region 2 in 2007 shall serve until 2014 (an actual
term of service of 7 years) rather than serving a term of office of 6 years in
order to avoid the challenges inherent in planning for and holding Regional
Conferences in the same year as General Conference.

by Rev. Elder Lillie Brock that the
next Regional Conference for Regions 1, 2 and 4 shall be conducted in 2008 and
for Regions 3, 5, 6 and 7 in 2009.

by Rev. Elder Ken Martin, Seconded by Rev. Elder Glenna Shepherd to propose an
amendment to Bylaws Article V.D.4.a so that the term of office for the Chair
and Vice Chair of the Lay Ministry Council shall be six (6) years and that, for
the purpose of transition, the term of office of the Vice Chair elected in 2005
shall expire in 2010.

Fisher to propose an amendment to Bylaws Article V.B.6 so
that the term of office for Lay Delegate shall be three (3) years.
