Metropolitan Community Churches was founded on 6 October 1968 after Rev. Troy Perry opened his heart and his home to a group of twelve people in the LGBT community.  Today, MCC stretches around the globe, growing rapidly in Latin America and Africa, breaking barriers in Eastern Europe and growing into our identity as "The Human Rights Church."
