local churches and ministries organize worship and local community
activities for the Advent season. On this page you will find
Worship Aids for each Sunday of Advent (including weekly Scriptures
based on Lectionary Year). If you have additional resources that
you would like to submit for possible posting in this resource center,

The Darkness of Violence, the Light of God's
Presence

Though it saddens and angers us, the realities of violence and
abuse penetrate all communities. MCC has a mission to address
abuse and speak out against violence. We have a vision of a world
yet unfinished where abuses against the marginalized come to
justice. The Advent/Christmas Eve service is an opportunity for
local churches to offer a healing embrace to those suffering violence
and abuse in our communities.
