Regional - OutFitted

INTRODUCTION

ImageWelcome!

I always get excited as we approach Regional Conference because I begin to anticipate the power of our worship together, the joy of experiencing our connection to each other and the love that we share in each greeting and hug. Although this year will be different for us in Region 7 because we will not all be together at one time and in one space, I anticipate that the energy and enthusiasm will be just as great.

Our theme this year is OUTFITTED for Ministry! Even though our time together will be short, our programming opportunities will still be worth the effort you make to be present. As you look through the schedule that is available on this sight, you will notice that we will focus on three things: Being OUTFITTED for Spiritual Growth, OUTFITTED for Effectiveness and OUTFITTED for a New Generation!

This is also an Elder Election year for Region 7 so making sure that your clergy and lay delegates are present holds great value in our congregational system. This will be your opportunity to dialogue with the Elder Candidate and to vote for the person you believe will best lead you over the next six years. Please be in prayer about this important decision.

The registration cost is only $50 per person so get yourself registered TODAY!

I'll see you at conference!

Lillie

WHY A REGIONAL CONFERENCE?

One of the reasons, although not the primary one, for having a Regional Conference is to conduct the business of the region. The biggest items on the business agenda this year are the election of a Regional Elder and a vote on the two candidates for Moderator. Of course, there are other items of business that we must attend to so we want to make sure that this important part of our congregational system is honored.

In order to honor the need for meaningful connection and to do our business, we will offer Regional Cluster Gatherings. The sites for these gatherings will be in geographic proximity to our churches so that no one has to go very far in order to participate.
