Justice ministry has always been central to MCC's calling.
It is an expression of our Christian faith; it reflects the heart of God for all who have been persecuted, devalued, and marginalized.
 
This year's Easter Offering for Global Justice will allow us to continue to respond strategically to cries for help from around the globe. From an underground church in Pakistan, where laws still allow stoning to death LGBT people, to Jamaica, where in January 2008, a machete-wielding mob broke into a private home, attacking three gay men, MCC's Global Justice ministry is urgently needed.

We must continue to build on our accomplishments across Eastern Europe; we must urgently respond to needs across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

And MCC's witness for social justice in North America is needed now more than ever.

YOU CAN HELP...
1.  Make the decision to join hands with churches around the globe and make the commitment to receive an "Easter Offering for Global Justice" on Easter Sunday, or a Sunday near Easter.  MCC sibling churches and members around the globe have already committed valuable resources to this cause!
 
2.  Write to MCC Moderator, Rev. Elder Nancy Wilson (RevNancyWilson@MCCchurch.net) and notify MCC of your participation on Easter Sunday, March 23, or another Sunday near Easter. Congregations will be added to our list of Pacesetter Churches -- congregations that are leading the way for MCC's 2008 global justice ministry.

3.  Join MCCers in daily prayers for MCC's Easter Offering for Global Justice. Through our shared efforts, God will use these offerings to improve the lives of people around our world.

A Note about Past Pacesetter Offerings...
Did you know that for each of the past several years, the number of churches participating in our denominational Easter Offering has steadily grown? Last year, we broke the 90 mark!  Our goal, our prayer, is for 100 MCC congregations to commit to a 2008 Easter Offering for Global Justice. Help make that a reality!
