Conference Call

Members participating were:

Also participating was Rev. Cindi Love, Executive Director.

Having determined that a quorum had been achieved, prayer was offered by Rev. Elder Eastman.

World Jubilee and General Conference

The Board of Elders discussed preparations for the upcoming World Jubilee and General Conference.

05.05.11.BE.01 Move to propose certain changes to the General Conference Procedures Manual and to request Rev. Elder Darlene Garner to finalize the language of the proposed changes for inclusion in the business packet.

Report from the Executive Director

Rev. Love shared with the Board of Elders that the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) has agreed to host the October reception for the incoming-Moderator Rev. Elder Nancy Wilson at their Headquarter Offices in Washington, DC. The new President of HRC has agreed to participate with Rev. Elder Wilson in a dual-conversation with the attendees. HRC is also considering additional ways to sponsor General Conference.

Next Meeting

The next meeting of the Board of Elders will be held by conference call on Wednesday, 8 June 2005.

The meeting was adjourned in prayer offered by Rev. Elder Diane Fisher.
