MCC Bylaws

05.04.08.BOE.01        Move to embrace the guiding principles for Bylaws.

05.04.08.BOE.03        Move to present the Strategic Plan for a vote of affirmation by General Conference.

General Conference

05.04.08.BOE.04        Move to propose the following amendment to the General Conferences Procedures Manual:

 

Current Language

C.  NATIONAL MEETINGS

A reasonable period of time during regular business meetings is set aside for delegates from each nation to meet on their own to discuss issues of concern pertaining to their nation.

 

Proposed Language

Given that the laws of some nations, including the United States and Canada, require that a business meeting be conducted for Lay Delegates and clergy from those nations, a reasonable period of time during the World Jubilee is set aside for the Lay Delegates and Clergy from those nations to conduct a business meeting.

05.04.08.BOE.05        Move to affirm the leadership being offered by Rev. Elder Gill Storey to create new opportunities for people to be in partnership in our fund development efforts to have global participation at Regional and General Conferences.

Support for Region 7

05.04.08.BOE.06        Move that the temporary plan for the Elder serving Region 7 and staff approved on 2 December 2004 be continued and reviewed again at the October 2005 meeting of the Board of Elders.
